This includes a detailed examination of the principal insurance policies and bonds encountered, an in-depth look at terms, conditions, endorsements and controls that can ensure a successful procurement, as well as techniques to protect the assets of the public entity. Whether the job is to prepare public procurements or to review new and existing contracts, the course can provide both a benchmark and a resource to the procurement professional.
The Public Private Education Facilities & Infrastructure Act (PPEA)
With the governmental procurement environment frequently changing, it has become almost imperative that legislative bodies begin to enact new laws that significantly affect public purchasing. The Public Private Education Facilities & Infrastructure Act is one such law. During this session, you will learn about the intent of the act, how it is being used within the Commonwealth, particulars and details for proper implementation and the potential benefits of implementing such an act may have for your agency. This session will cover the legal, financial, and procurement aspects of this Act.
Understanding the PPI / CPI
This seminar will only be held twice annually and can only be held in Northern Virginia.
This seminar gives an overview of the Consumer Price Index and the Producer Price Index. This seminar will show you how to select the proper index for escalation in different context, as well as how to calculate the escalation correctly and how to obtain the price index data.
